Accessibility Disclaimer

WSU Tech is committed to providing a website experience that is accessible and usable for all students, employees, and members of the public. Assistive technologies such as the ReciteMe toolbar are provided to enhance access while we continue improving the underlying structure and content of the website. Accessibility is an ongoing priority for our institution, and we are continuously working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website.

We strive to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and applicable ADA Title II requirements. Because accessibility is a continuous process, not a one-time update, we regularly review the website, implement improvements, and update content and functionality as standards evolve.

Accessibility Tools

The WSU Tech main website includes the ReciteMe accessibility toolbar, which allows users to customize their experience through screen reading, translation, styling adjustments, reading support tools, color and contrast changes, and more.

Ongoing Testing & Remediation
Our accessibility efforts include:
  • Routine audits of pages, PDFs, and media content
  • Regular testing using automated tools and manual review
  • Prioritization of high-traffic and student-critical pages
  • Remediation of known accessibility issues as they are identified
  • Long-term improvements to navigation, structure, and content formats
  • Training for content editors and staff to ensure continued compliance
Third-Party Content

Some pages contain content or documents provided by third parties. While we cannot control the accessibility of materials created outside WSU Tech, we make every effort to ensure alternatives or accessible versions are available when possible.

Transparency & Scope of Our Accessibility Efforts

While we work toward meeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA and Title II ADA requirements, it is important to acknowledge that not all web content can be brought to full compliance immediately. The WSU Tech website contains a large volume of legacy content; improvements must be prioritized based on user impact, focusing first on high-traffic pages, essential student resources, and frequently accessed information.

Our commitment is ongoing. Some pages, particularly older or rarely accessed content, may not yet meet current accessibility standards. This does not reflect a lack of intention, but the reality of maintaining a large, evolving website with limited staffing. We will continue to make improvements over time as part of a sustained and responsible accessibility plan.

If you encounter a barrier, we welcome the opportunity to address it and provide an accessible alternative as quickly as possible.
